MindSpace fosters open dialogue on mental health among men and women, promotes awareness, and empowers the community through training, reducing stigma, enhancing wellbeing, and building a more informed, supportive society for all.
MindSpace supports African men in Newport by offering a safe space to discuss mental health and social issues, while promoting awareness and skills through live media chats and free training, strengthening wellbeing within the community.
MindSpace will empower young people by promoting positive mental health role models, increasing awareness, and providing training that helps break stigma. It also builds intergenerational understanding and fosters safer, more supportive communities.
The project will contribute to the ongoing mental health awareness drive by CultureMindsUK in African communities, promoting a better understanding of mental health and well-being, tackling biases, and stigma associated with it.

MindSpace: is an ongoing project by CultureMindsUK. It has been established to provide monthly safe spaces for men in Newport to talk about their mental health, and social challenges. This is transforming space for conversations, and knowledge/skills acquisition through: 1. Mental and Social Health live media chat/podcast for men in Newport 2. Free Mental Health Awareness Training programmes for a group of 12 people (including women and young adults). These events will run monthly, for 6 months
