Professional audio recording of the choir’s repertoire
The recordings of the award-winning performances will benefit local and wider communities with the joy of music. This will draw members and audiences to participate in the choir and attend future performances, many of which raise funds for charities.
The professional recordings will showcase the high-quality of the choir and be used to publicise fund raising activities for charities, which will draw larger audiences that would as a consequence support increased funds for the charities concerned.
The professional recordings will be played on hospital and local radio stations. Providing a range of musical experience for listeners, including Welsh songs that will contribute to a strong sense of cultural identity.
Newport and surrounding areas
This project will promote the health and well-being benefits of singing in a choir. Professional recordings of some of the choir’s award-wining performances will contribute to a sense of cultural identity, particularly for Welsh pieces, for both the choir members and audiences. More women will be encouraged to join the choir and consequently benefit from being part of a safe supportive community. More will attend performances that can raise considerable funds for local charities.
