C3 CENTRE FOR CREATIVITY AND CULTURE CIC Digital Skills for Creative Individuals (Creative Young People and Asylum Seekers/Refugees in Neath Port Talbot County Borough)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The C3 Centre for Creativity and Culture is dedicated to helping young people with the digital knowledge to upscale their creativity. We use digital hubs to deliver these training and as such create room for collaboration. We work with creative individuals who are asylum seekers and refugees and support them to learn to digitally promote their work for the purpose of employability. We teach them to use technology Microsoft Tools to prepare pitch decks, story graphics, scripts and social media.

    Beyond the acquisition of skills, we want these young people to confidently engage their creative practice, be eligible for opportunities in the creative industry, gain visibility and employability. We train 10 to 15 participants per session.

Project Activities

  • We create platforms for creative expressions and give visibility to underrepresented talents

  • We empower local talents with skills to upscale their creative practice

  • We run mentorship sessions for creative individuals to learn from practitioners in their fields.

  • We help tell the stories of of these individuals as they responsibly integrate into the society

  • We collaborate with digital hubs like YMCA and Swansea Mad to render digital skill for marketability
