Our History

  • For over 30 years, we’ve supported young carers across Gloucestershire, ensuring they are heard, valued and empowered. Through creative projects, partnerships and innovation, we amplify their voices and improve outcomes. Today, we proudly support over 1,300 young carers and their families.

Areas of Operation

  • England: Gloucestershire

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

We work with young people aged between 8 - 24 who take on a caring role for a family member. We work with young carers to create tailored support plans to help reduce the impact of their caring role.

  • Marginalised or vulnerable groups

Young Carers are and their families are often seen as vulnerable so through our direct support and multi-agency working we will continue to identify and support these groups.

  • The General Public / Mankind

Greater education on young carers will help improve identification and support for these families which can help reduce negative outcomes and create more positive outcomes for them to engage in society.

Our Vision for a better future

  • Our vision is to ensure every young carer will be able to enjoy their childhood and make a positive transition into adulthood. We want to empower young carers to build on their strengths and achieve their aspirations. We want to continue to identify hidden young carers in the county and continue to develop our support for them and their families.
