  • Education
  • Poverty
  • Environment

Our History

  • Teacher Aid first began following a holiday in Zambia, 2002. I visited a school outside Lusaka and promised to help. I registered “Teacher Aid” as pupils needed teacher continuity, funds to pay teacher salaries and a feeding scheme. We funded a school near Chipata in 2013. We stayed at Nsobe and met Fiona, who had started her own school.

Areas of Operation

  • Zambia

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

Respect shown to all females by male pupils of Nsobe community. We encourage girls to be in control of their bodies and encourage sex abstinence. The culture at present is for the older girls not to discuss private matters with freinds or family.

  • The General Public / Mankind

Families of the pupils at Nsobe School being uplifted out of poverty through a quality education and life skills. Teacher Aid provides solar panels, laptops, English lessons, audio visual equipment and has funded the building of the first Safe house

Our Vision for a better future

  • To be the backbone of Nsobe until it is taken over by the Government, then we would assist the in the running costs of the Tertiary college yet to be built. We hope to introduce a bursary scheme like Student Loans. Into the long-term future Teacher Aid, along with Fiona, would like to expand into other rural areas of Zambia to uplift communities.

Our goals to make a difference

  • To provide accessible quality education from preschool to tertiary level to remote vulnerable Zambi

  • Developing skills and employment opportunities through vocation classrooms and computer literacy

  • Promoting gender equality and girl protection, minimizing teenage pregnancies

  • Providing nutritional and healthcare support, fund daily meals and buy pupils shoes and food hampers

  • Providing sustainable access to tertiary learning through a student loan bursary scheme
