Our History

  • Catch22’s history starts in 1788 with the formation of The Philanthropic Society, who aimed to ‘unite the spirit of charity with the principles of trade’ – our original definition of a ‘social business’. Modern Catch22 was born out of the merger between Rainer and Crime Concerns in 2008.

Our Vision for a better future

  • Our vision is a strong society where everyone has a good place to live, a purpose and good people around them. We believe that access to these three basic things (which we call our 3Ps) is fundamental to transforming lives and communities. All Catch22 services deliver at least one – and often all three- of these outcomes.
