Pre-recorded singing sessions are available free-of charge via our website and todownload or to buy as a DVD . Repertoire is chosen with great care, and songs are researched and work-shopped with our regular audience with the pace and clarity of the delivery expertly practised to ensure maximum engagement. Today, over 2200 UK-wide care homes subscribe to these online resources but they are also used by those in the community.
We currently have 17 care homes on our programmes located in Wales and Cornwall. Additional care homes join the weekly zoom from across the UK, with a small number choosing to buy-in additional sessions if their budget permits. Regular in-person sessions are complemented by access to our regular zoom rehearsals: all delivery offers meaningful shared activity for staff and residents away from the everyday caring routine.
Patients with dementia are extremely vulnerable in hospitals and we seek to address the danger of rapid decline by encouraging physical mobility through appropriate movement and active engagement and participation to benefit cognitive abilities. Our carefully crafted programme of music & movement offers a means of enhancing care and most importantly, does so without adding additional burden on healthcare staff.
Led by a team of highly-trained musicians, our weekly singing sessions energise, engage, and empower those with dementia and those who love and care for them. It’s so much more than simply singing old songs, or bringing back memories. We commission and perform new pieces that celebrate our choristers and share their experiences with the wider community. It's about creating new memories, enjoying new experiences, and celebrating life in the moment.
