Our History

  • Our focus is finding land based practical solutions to the ever worsening problem of climate change. In May 2019 the charity signed a lease for a 6 acre site for 10 years to establish its carbon negative horticulture project.

Beneficiaries

  • Adults

We work with volunteers from any background interested in working on the land, especially those living in the built up part of Swansea who need access to land and low cost/no cost training to become established in low impact livelihoods.

  • Children / Young People

We offer training courses and educational activities in hedgelaying, woodland management, food growing and craft such as basketry and green woodworking. These courses are available to all ages and abilities.

  • Environment

Coppice management of local woodlands and the application of regenerative horticulture increases biodiversity and maintains habitats for people and nature.

Our Vision for a better future

  • A changed economy which reflects the growing severity of climate risks in the UK, an economy which prioritises agro-ecological farming and forestry which naturally sequesters carbon by building soil and creates low impact livelihoods for the young.
