Our History

  • Charlie’s Star Charity has been established in memory of our son, Charlie, who died suddenly on the 11 October 2011 just a week after his 10th birthday.

    Any family that has lost a child under the age of 19, living in the South West of England.

Our Vision for a better future

  • The Charity provides fully paid respite breaks to families living in the South West of England, that have lost a child under the age of 19.

Our goals to make a difference

  • For the public benefit to relieve the mental, physical and financial distress to bereaved families.

  • Provide support to bereaved families that have lost a child under 19 years of age.

  • Provide fully funded 7 day respite break in Cornwall to bereaved families living in the South West

  • Sign post families to other services that they could benefit from depending on their circumstances.

  • Introduce bereaved families to others going through the same journey within the South West.
