Our History

  • Peak Empower opened in July 2019 and was founded by two parent carers; Lucy Somers and Sapphire Tuckfield. Both have children with conditions that can cause social isolation. Our team is dedicated to inclusion and continues to develop resources that support young people and their families.

Areas of Operation

  • England: Northamptonshire

Beneficiaries

  • Adults

We expanded our programme to help those just out of the care system into work and employment to include anyone who had been furloughed or made redundant. This includes updating CV's, learning how to live on a budget, cookery sessions etc

  • People with Disabilities

All of our programmes are inclusive and we work closely with people with additional needs and ensure they have access to physical and mental activities

  • Elderly / Old People

We run a series of activities for elderly living alone (food parcels) as well as supplying the items for care homes to do activities with elderly to keep them mentally and physically fit

  • Children / Young People

We run a series of empowerment programmes for young people who are socially isolated to help build confidence and find peers going through similar situations to relate to. These are currently online sessions.

Our Vision for a better future

  • Our mission is to promote the positive use of recreational activities to improve well-being in marginalised groups by providing clubs and courses to help empower and to help individuals gain confidence in themselves.

Our goals to make a difference

  • Improve well-being, confidence and self-esteem through recreational activities

  • Increase number and availability of inclusive clubs

  • Decrease social isolation

  • Provide support & training on inclusion & help integrate young people into the working environment

  • Reduce negative perceptions of disability, mental health and disengaged youth
