Focus on BAME who are often marginalized and hard to reach to ensure that they have access to services and opportunities that they may not get without that extra support. Raising awareness of the challenges that they face and mitigating those issues

Our Vision for a better future

  • To promotion equality and diversity in society through employment and appointment of members of ethnic minority communities into the Justice System in Scotland so as to achieve reflective representation across the entire sector and in all other aspects of the system such as legal representation, training and translation. To eliminate any forms of discrimination in society through raising awareness among ethnic minority communities of the functioning of the justice delivery process in Scotland, the availability of professional legal services, the education of those from ethnic minority communities and their internment into the profession and their general inclusion into the sector so as to promote racial harmony. To promote human rights through the eradication of some of the disadvantages that members of ethnic minority communities often face when trying to access professional legal services and representation when they are going through court, tribunal, or and other judicial processes requiring such support. To promote the education and training opportunities for ethnic minority communities through facilitating their access to the legal profession as a way of advancing their inclusion into the legal profession in Scotland so as to ensure the relief of those in need by reason of financial hardship or any other such disadvantage.

Our goals to make a difference

  • Bridge the gap in employment and appointment into key justice system institutions & justice sector.

  • Raise awareness of the justice delivery process and availability of legal professional services.

  • Support and represent the BAME community in court, tribunal and other judicial processes.

  • Provide access to legal services by facilitating targeted education, training, and awareness.

  • Provide relief to those in financial hardship & have no access to other available sources in system.
