Our History

  • Caerleon RFC in its current guise has been around for 50 years. Housed in a beautiful corner or Caerleon call The Broadway. Our stunning fields is an ideal place to sit watching the sun over the Roman ruins. We currently sit with over 600 M&Js with 2 youth, 2 senior and a vets team.

    Giving the opportunity for mixed ability rugby to train/play alongside their able bodied counterparts will be exceptionally beneficial for the individuals, community and mental health of all involved.

Our Vision for a better future

  • The idea is to develop this underdeveloped area to welcome all corners of sport. Firstly we plan to make the area wheelchair friendly which in turn would encourage wheelchair visitors and welcome wheelchair rugby, becoming the home for dragons all stars. This would allow us to welcome smaller sports such as netball to become part of our family.

Our goals to make a difference

  • Become wheelchair friendly and welcome wheelchair rugby.

  • Become the home of Dragons all stars and welcome mixed ability rugby at all levels

  • Encourage smaller sports to become part of our club and support them on their journeys.

  • Become the community hub for people of Caerleon and wider Newport.
