Beneficiaries

  • People Of A Particular Ethnic Or Racial Origin

A lot of my work is autobiographical, drawing on my personal experiences as a mixed-race artist and resonating deeply with others who share similar stories and lived experiences.

  • Children / Young People

A large part of my creative practice focuses on inspiring and empowering children and young people, building on my time as Children’s Laureate of Wales and continuing through my poetry collection Miracles

  • The General Public / Mankind

My work benefits the general public by empowering people—especially children, young people, and underrepresented communities—to see value in themselves, thier stories and thier voices. My work helps people recognise that they matter

Our Vision for a better future

  • I believe every person is a miracle in a world of eight billion people, with a story worth sharing. Stories connect us, inspire hope, and empower voices. My vision is of a future where everyone values their story, embraces creativity as self-expression, and believes they have the power to shape a brighter world.

Our goals to make a difference

  • To empower people by helping them creatively believe they are enough and that they matter. Empowerment is our greatest creative tool — it unlocks belief.

  • To spark hope within people and communities. Hope unites, heals, and strengthens us. In times of darkness, it becomes the guiding light we need most.

  • To celebrate culture and identity — so every individual shines in their uniqueness, and communities grow stronger by embracing and learning from difference.

  • To increase literacy skills by demystifying poetry and working with individuals on creative writing
