"We had a fantastic time hearing all about the ship from our enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable guide, Jeff. This is an incredible part of Newport's story receiving worldwide recognition - we'll definitely be back!"
Apart from special events for children we have ship-related activities during visiting hours, archaeological treasure hunts, etc and volunteer guides tailor their presentations for them. We welcome young volunteers to help in the Centre.
Our tours accommodate the frail: no steps anywhere, displays are at wheelchair height, seating is readily provided.
Our volunteer guides are ready to accommodate visitors of all abilities.
We welcome visits by voluntary bodies e.g. recently U3A, local village groups, local history groups, ethnic women's ethnic groups, etc; catering is normally provided.
We welcome a wide range of visitors free of charge, of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, Fridays & Saturdays throughout nine months of the year and even more at our special celebratory events and group visits.
