Our History

  • Recycling Lives was set up to rehabilitate homeless people and support them into full time employment. We expanded our charitable activity by opening our prison workshops, offering training and employment to ex-offenders. We opened our Fresh Start Community Cafe and more recently, took on the running of Fareshare Lancashire and Cumbria foodbank.

By working with ex-offenders, homeless people and people experiencing food poverty (schools, community groups, families) we are helping to create a safer, fairer society for all, encouraging a more inclusive society with opportunities for all.

Our Vision for a better future

  • Our vision is to eliminate homelessness, reoffending and food poverty. We're working to achieve this through residential support, offender rehabilitation and food redistribution, creating lasting change for individuals, families and communities.

Our goals to make a difference

  • Reduce re offending and create a fairer, safer society

  • Reduce food poverty in our communities

  • Reduce homelessness

  • Provide disadvantaged and hard to reach groups with the tools they need to rebuild their lives

  • Create employment opportunities for those furthest away from opportunities
