Our History

  • The Brilliant Club was founded by two secondary school teachers with a clear mission: to tackle the structural barriers that prevent less advantaged young people from accessing competitive universities. From a small pilot of 12 pupils in London, we now support over 20,000 students each year to unlock their educational potential.

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

We support young people facing the biggest barriers to higher education including: those eligible for free school meals, those living in the most deprived postcodes by IDACI and those with no parental history of higher education.

  • Adults

We support parents in less advantaged communities, focusing particularly on parents from low income backgrounds, those with no personal history of higher education and BAME parents.

Our Vision for a better future

  • We envision a future where young people have equal opportunity in education regardless of their background: their postcode, their parents’ education history or socioeconomic circumstance.
