Wellbeing Kitchen is a community programme using cooking as a tool for mental health recovery in Newport. In partnership with local mental health hubs, we run small-group sessions that build routine, confidence, and nutrition skills. Participants prepare and share healthy meals in a supportive environment, reducing isolation and improving wellbeing while fostering peer connections and life skills for lasting impact.

Cook, Learn, Earn – Duffryn

Cook, Learn, Earn – Duffryn is a 12-week community training programme for Duffryn residents. Participants will attend weekly hands-on cooking and food enterprise workshops, gain Level 2 Food Hygiene certification, and learn budgeting, catering, and employability skills. Delivered through small group sessions and mentoring, the project aims to improve confidence, reduce food poverty, and create pathways into volunteering, catering work, or small food businesses.
