Being at Honeypot has helped build her confidence. Bullying has given her self-belief a knock , so building closer bonds with other young carers and having fun without worrying has really given her a boost. She told me: they know how I really feel.

Young carers perform a surrogate adult role as a carer for a loved one .The issue most frequently expressed by young carers is a chronic feeling of isolation and wishing to belong to a group of children who understand their challenges.
- Children / Young People
Our SEAL programme supports children from Years 4-6 who are struggling with vulnerabilities such as social isolation, low self-esteem, disaffection, anxiety, low self-confidence, poor concentration and poor communication.

Our goals to make a difference

Our vision is to ensure that young carers can enjoy a happy, fulfilling childhood and we aim to improve their wellbeing.

We aim to support young carers for up to eight years so they can start to build brighter futures for themselves.

In collaboration with our network of referrers we aim to identify and support young carers from an early age onwards.

We also support children struggling with every day life in school through our Health and Wellbeing Programme.
