The Honeypot Children’s Charity is dedicated to supporting young carers aged 5-12 with residential breaks and wraparound support. Young carers perform a surrogate adult role as a carer for a loved one at home, having to take on responsibilities beyond their years. They often miss out on learning new skills, trying new things, feeling a sense of achievement, and making friends. We give them the opportunity to make happy childhood memories and build brighter futures.
The Honeypot Children's Charity gives young carers aged 5-12 the opportunity to take a break from their caring responsibilities to improve their wellbeing and resilience. Over a 3-day/2-nigh break they are provided with nutritious meals, and can engage in many fun activities while making new friends. We operate three Honeypot Houses set in beautiful rural locations in Hampshire, Powys and East Ayrshire. Last year we provide over 12,000 meals and our dishwashers are in need of replacement - they frequently break down and are not fit-for-purpose. After careful consideration the Hobarth F504 was recommended as the best suitable long-term solution, at a cost of £2,386 incl VAT per dishwasher.
