The story serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and strength within the Swansea Migrant community. The film will be an opportunity to showcase the binary opposites of travails and successes within the migrant journey to Wales, while navigating life in Wales. The event will be accessible to all members of the community with particular focus on youth artists. Transport will be organised from a central location to help with accessibility. We will partner with local organisations.
The C3 Centre for Creativity and Culture is dedicated to helping young people with the digital knowledge to upscale their creativity. We use digital hubs to deliver these training and as such create room for collaboration. We work with creative individuals who are asylum seekers and refugees and support them to learn to digitally promote their work for the purpose of employability. We teach them to use technology Microsoft Tools to prepare pitch decks, story graphics, scripts and social media.
The C3 Centre for Creativity & Culture CIC uses Culture/Creativity as tools of wellbeing and community. This is a project that uses diverse mediums of expression & cross-genre literary expressions to address wellbeing. Central to the execution of this project is culture & creativity as tools for community cohesion, addressing isolation, trauma and loss of identity orchestrated by migration. We want our audience to see a bit of themselves in our dances, instrumentation, strorytelling and poetry.
