As a community-based charity, everything we do supports local people. Our Community Engagement Officer plays a vital role in delivering services like wellbeing and fitness classes, a Foodbank, parent & toddler groups, and open access play sessions. They also help identify community needs, develop new initiatives, and secure funding to ensure our services remain relevant, inclusive, and impactful for all members of our community.
The activity will provide playful physical activities & wellbeing opportunities for children and young people. Research has shown that being outside in a rich environment builds resilience and community cohesion. The project will link with other initiatives in the Duffryn area to enhance children's holistic development while providing the mechanism for parents and carers to access information which enables them to develop skills which improve physical and mental wellbeing of their children.

Through nature-based activities like games, quizzes, mindfulness, and small-space gardening, we’ll promote connection, mental health, and community engagement. Held in local green spaces, gardens, and residential areas, the project will explore which activities create the most positive impact for future development.
