Africa's Gift work with communities in central, east & southern Africa reducing tons of CO2 being released & fatal smoke being ingested by introducing a heat retention cooking bag. The Wonderbag (UN. CDM cert) transforms the cook's week, uses a fraction of the wood & water traditional cooking methods use & saves over 1 ton of CO2 a year. We seek a partner who wishes to offset & sequestrate their CO2 by transforming THEIR Wonderbag enabled cooks into tree planters, nurturers & habitat custodians
We raise funds through collecting footwear which we take and trade in Africa. We have an extensive network in Africa which enables us to do this sensitively, powerfully & creates employment. We therefore seek assistance acquiring footwear of all types. Any clearance stock, returned items or used footwear that is still wearable we would love to have donated. We can arrange collection of this if it is in an economic bundle. We guarantee that every item will find a new life in Africa.
There has been a better or more urgent time to plant a tree. Almost unbelievably we have built more tonnage of structures on our planet than there is biomass! Changing weather patterns which deliver irregular rainfall often in destructive storm events leads for very challenging growing conditions. When you are subsistence farmer reliant on what you grow to live off - this is high stakes. We seek assistance to develop our conservation agriculture teaching farm to offer workshops & cover crops to local then regional farmers. We then wish to train the trainers to do outreach work harnessing every rainfall event turning potential hazards into resources.
