DESCRIPTION

KIDS runs 4 adventure playgrounds across London which offer disabled children and young people access to a safe space to play. Join us in 2021 for KIDS’ corporate volunteering days. Volunteering ensures the playgrounds receive vital maintenance work throughout the year so that our children and young people have a clean, safe and exciting place to play! It's the perfect opportunity to re-connect with colleagues in person and re-charge team spirit, whilst giving back to local communities.

UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
DESCRIPTION

This project ensures disabled young people and their families can reconnect with each other, their community and local services. A breakdown of access to services and the support network has led to an insular and isolated existence for families. The project will be a family led programme of support for each member and family as a whole. We will work directly with parents, siblings and the child with disabilities so there is a shift from crisis management towards one of happy family experiences.

UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
DESCRIPTION

KIDS is looking to develop a digital youth hub in conjuction with disabled children and young people enabling access to services they feel are most important to them, despite location and personal circumstance. The digital platform will be set up to support children and young people across a range of services from mental health support through to employability opportunities. The pandemic highlighted the need for a digital offering which breaks down barriers to in-person access.

UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
DESCRIPTION

The project will test a package of support for children under 5 with SEND and their families to enable them to access their entitlements to early years support and education. We want to understand the barriers and which interventions increase families’ ability to secure their rights or challenge with confidence when these are not fulfilled. The project also aims to address the obstacles by supporting a group of expert parents to come together with professionals to change the policy landscape.
