The club is growing significantly, becoming a community asset, working in the most deprived and disadvantaged communities in Newport. The club attracts members - children, young people and families from across Newport and have a greater demand for the needs placed upon the club, coaches and volunteers. We are trying to overcome barriers to sport, whilst providing volunteering pathways and investment in coaching qualifications and skills. We are looking to grow our club membership even further.
Prosiect rhwng Medi-Mawrth i gynnal cyfres o ddigwyddiadau ar draws Casnewydd i lawnsio dathlu Eisteddfod yr Urdd 26 yn y ddinas. Byddwn yn trefnu lawnsiad yn ystod Gwyl Newydd, a 4 digwyddiad mewn lleoliadau yn nalgylch ysgolion cymraeg y ddinas, i greu bwrlwm/cynnwrf ynglyn a’r iaith, addysg Gymraeg yng Nghasnewydd ar gyfer Eisteddfod yr Urdd Bro’r Wenynen 2027. Bydd y 4 digwyddiad yn cynnwys, adloniant, cerddoriaeth fyw, dawns, celf a chrefft, chwaraeon, stondinau masnach.
Multisport is a project for adults with learning disabilities to join community-based sports activities. The project will provide 2 additional weekly sessions of sport increasing engagement, breaking down barriers, encouraging participation and fostering inclusion whilst improving health and wellbeing. The sessions will be a variety of gym based activities to improve mobility, cardio vascular activity, strength and build confidence including Low Impact Chair, Yoga, Cardio, Archery and Pilates.
Maindee district centre has been long overdue a radical rethink and investment. 'Maindee District Centre Renewal' is a project to engage the community in transforming the environment and public realm to create a greener, more sociable and economically vibrant and people friendly place . We are following a process of ‘planning by doing’ and action learning, implementing smaller-scale, high impact demonstration and testing projects alongside strategic design and planning.
